hi, my name is Rae'Anna

San Diego & Sacramento storytelling photographer

I am drawn to the quiet, in-between moments- the ones that feel like something you'll want to come back to years from now.
Photography came into my life during my time in the Marine Corps, in a season where everything felt like it was constantly changing — new places, new people, and moments I didn’t want to forget. Over time, landscapes and photos of my husband's motorcycle turned into people, and documenting connection became something I couldn’t imagine stepping away from.
Being part of the military community shaped the heart behind my work. It taught me how meaningful ordinary moments really are, especially when distance, change, and time make them feel rare.
My work is shaped by both places that raised me and places that changed me. There’s a warmth in it that comes from my Texas roots, and a softness inspired by the coastal light of California. Together, they influence the way I see stories — honest, calm, nostalgic, and full of feeling.

When you step in front of my camera, you don’t need to know what to do.
I’ll guide you gently while leaving space for real moments to happen naturally. My goal isn’t perfection — it’s connection. The photos you receive should feel like you, not a pose.

a few things about me
I always play music at my sessions to get you comfortable and nine times out of ten it is country!

If I am not with my family or doing photography, you can find me watching Grey's Anatomy for the thousandth time and sipping on matcha.
I LOVEEEEE fashion! (Fun fact I did fashion design in high school and applied to colleges to major in it!) If you need help with outfits for your session, reach out to me.

My husband is also a Marine Corps veteran & we have two under two who keep us on our toes!
